I think the "official" turnout % won't be available for some time, but I did some critical theory based back-of-napkin math for
total votes cast ÷ total US population over 18
and got
137.46 M ÷ 260M = 52.87%
I know we don't let the unhoused, felons, incarcerated, dislocated and like the generally eff'd portion of the pop vote so the legal turnout is probably higher than that, but it does put into perspective how a HUGE shitload of Americans didn't participate in this erection. c==8
- My napkin estimate for the legal turnout based on yours is 137.46M ÷ 240M = 57.28%, based on estimates the 2020 eligible voter base was 233M
  Votes are still being counted though, so the actual turnout may in fact be higher
