Hexbear is one of the few leftist spaces on the internet to be a gun/military otaku without running into literal nazis.
Anyone who's spent any time outside of here looking into fps games or milsim communities knows what I'm talking about. I HATE that in order to have any interest in firearms you need to be a fuckin' fascist first.
Chuds have a buddy-buddy thing with the police yet they also want to feel like they're rugged survivalist rebels that will form Republics of Dave the moment the lights go out.
Leftists really should be better prepared to defend themselves.
I like this community for all the weird shit that gets posted. It is definitely difficult to navigate firearms-spaces online as a leftist. For one because of the obvious which you've mentioned, but also I think it can be hard finding a way to be "normal" about guns. Like, I've got some, and I may get more as I see a need, but I'm always on guard against consumerism and fetishism. I've got them for a reason, not merely for their own sake.
