How to change the default post arrangement from "new" to say, "Top Day"?

Hi!

Just that, I keep changing it, but after any sort of refresh, it defaults back to "New". How can I change this listing behavior?

Settings > Sort Type > User Default Sort Type / Time
- I've tried this, but the main feeds seem to be stuck on New every time the app is reopened. I even have my sort type set to top 6 hours in the settings.
- It...doesn't seem to work, for some reason. It goes to New every single time.
  
  Yep, I just noticed this on my phone, too. Must be a bug.
