When it comes to Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts franchise filmmaker David Yates returning to the Max TV series, he tells Deadline, “Never say never.” Yates was at our TIFF studio tal…
Oh thank god. Keep him far away. I understand the vision he went with (which was more introduced by Cuarón than anything) but I really didn’t appreciate missing key scenes from the books, poorly executing the Hallows and the final battle, and how poor duels were. The only time there was some creativity was Dumbledore vs Voldemort in OoTP. Outside of that it was who can push harder with their wand.
There wasn’t much real “magic” in the last few movies.
It's 20 years after the war with Voldemort, and Auror Harry J. Potter is up against a new enemy, bringing him back to Hogwarts. He must now fight tooth and nail to keep those transwizards out of the girl's bathrooms.
Muggles transitioning to wizards thanks to scientific advances are probably the worst nightmare of the purebloods. The orogin story of that could make an interesting movie/serie.
Ron Weasley's dad was definitely involved somehow.
Accidentally discovered a method of converting muggles to wizards and now there's a debate raging over where it's ethical or even safe to introduce such a thing to the world.
I mean that's cool that they bring back Harry as an adult. But they have to let go of hogwarts imo.. I mean an you have a vast world and he is already and adult you can let go of the school
I just... they only finished just over a decade ago. There's no need to remake them yet. Someday sure, but it's way too soon. I get Hollywood is just plain out of ideas but come on. I loved the movies, the casting is some of the best I've ever seen, I just plain don't want this.
After how disappointing the Fantastic Beasts franchise was, and how little appetite most people have for JK Rowling as a person, I’m expecting this Max series to be a shitty cash grab.
