As some battleground states start early voting, Virginia has been going for weeks. The data show more interest in early voting from GOP areas this time.
We will. tomorrow is the first day to drop off our mail-in-ballot in a box close to us (the "satellite locations" in VA) but we're busy. We'll get it done in the next few days.
Action complete. Two more Virginian's have voted early.
Nothing more satisfying than pulling up to the front door, walked past a LOOOONG line of people waiting to vote "in-person early" to drop my mail-in ballot into a secured drop box at the polling location, then driving off to get some grocery shopping done before the Wegman's gets too crowded :)
Keep in mind that they're compared to 2020, when voting patterns changed dramatically quite partisanly due to covid
Further they are just looking at county levels of voting, not individuals. Virginia does not have party of voters released. Dems have increased their rural voter outreach dramatically this year. For all we know this could mean higher dem turnout in rural areas. Republicans tend to strongly prefer voting on election day in most polling
Still good to encourage people to turnout early though!
