The argument has moved to "well it's too late to do anything about it!"
The ongoing pattern with those types of folks is basically to do nothing about anything. Listen to libertarians for example. Everything they suggest amounts to doing nothing.
The gears of progressive only ever move forward, and people like that are a gear that refuses to turn.

This is why it makes no sense to increase investment in renewables AND fossil fuel.

A lot of those people, like my brother in law, believe that it is cloud seeding and HAARP style antennas causing it these temps. So, totally not climate change but still man made - and it would totally stop if the global cabal would just knock it off. /s
