AIs version of beautiful people will be based on plastic surgery versions of people who were once based on those born with good looks

If plastic surgery is based on people with good looks, it seems to be very loosely based on them!

For some reason, I read it as Al, like weird AL Yankovic, and I thought he was making a parody video on beautiful people by Marilyn manson.

AI thinks "attractive" means any labeled that in its dataset. That doesn't necessarily mean people who had plastic surgery, and generated images don't have that plastic look that celebs get when they have all that work done.

Then beauty standards would be based on AI generated images. Full circle of simulacra.

And as AI becomes more and more lifelike and humans become more suspicious of too-perfect appearances, people with plastic surgery will unexpectedly find themselves on the wrong side of the uncanny valley.

Sometimes AI images help me see more clearly what is wrong with our societies. Because, really? That image is connected to this word? I can feel how, but that's f*cked up.
