existing as a palestinian or recognizing the humanity of palestinians is in fact, anti-zionist. according to the transitive property of zionism, everything anti-zionist is anti-semitic. therefore, this older woman just going about her work is mathematically TurboHitler5000.
keffiyehs aren't even political or specifically Palestinian. They're not even specific to Arab people, like I know Iranians and Afghans who wear them. One Iranian girl I know wore a keffiyeh as part of her school uniform.
"Being Palestinian in my general vicinity is a hate crime"
I think they meant the ring tone of a pager. Presumably because any person who supports Palestine will have some sort of PTSD-like reaction to a reminder that consumer electronics were turned into bombs in Jordan Lebanon?
They were crying their crocodile tears over "Free parking" signs (alarmingly close to "Free Palestine") well before the Al-Aqsa Flood. Of course they would.
I hope the person who wrote this gets smothered with thousands of keffyeh. Like an entire truck load of them spills on them and they struggle to get out and get tangled up and overheat and die.
it's not just the bottom 50%... the majority of doctors are out-of-touch morons with a superiority complex, the fact they are often from rich backgrounds and have never been told no shows constantly. the fact they are on this pedestal in society like priests were in the past needs to end. they are just some guy.
the fact they are often from rich backgrounds and have never been told no shows constantly.
Exactly! And this plays into why half of them don’t need to try that hard in school either. As long as they graduate it’s not what they know it’s who they know.
I directly hold them accountable for not simply continuing to treat women in states where abortions were made illegal. I wanted to see 1000 doctors arrested for giving life saving care. They would deserve the respect they receive in that world. In reality they chose comfort and security over their patients' lives.
Which is wild as I know someone going for a masters in social work, but the conditions set by the school says that she can't get below a B more than twice on anything. But sure, we need doctors, so let 'em all in!
I did a bit of research on Judaism to reconcile with zionism/anti-semitism and all that, and I saw how different it is from zionism, and that zionism is actually more anti-semitic than being anti-zionist etc.
But imagine if you knew nothing about it, and then went on r/Jewish. You would be getting the WRONG impression for sure.
Looked against my better judgement, you weren't kidding. These ers are completely buying into the antisemitic lies equating the genocidal fascist state of Israel with Judaism as a whole.
It's a shame. Judaism actually has a lot of really cool attitudes and lessons to it, at least, some interpretations. It's such an old religion that it can't be described as a monoloth any more than Islam can. I think it's really important for the Left to hold onto this fact and defend our Jewish comrades who are bravely going against the grain in their communities.
Looking at zionists and it's like "holy shit, are you trying to make people become antisemitic?" If I believed everything said by zionists about Judaism, that would mean I was antisemitic.
I don’t regularly wear a kippah but even if I did, I’m not looking to antagonize. I strongly believe in no political anythings at work, even things that the majority deem inoffensive like pride pins or whatever.

My favorite is the "Look,..." that they use before they lecture me like I'm a kid. The word is them patting me on the head before they explain the complexities of the adult world to my tiny brain.
Reading the comments there sure was a hell of a peek into the brains of these people. They genuinely say that everyone pro Palestine is a terrorist. I will admit that I haven't bothered to look at comments on Reddit, but it's pretty unsettling to read tbh.
If Israel and Hezbollah go to war - people will see suffering and death in Israel but also in Lebanon. Sadly the coverage of Israel will probably be at least ~5x as great. But there will be blood on the streets in Lebanon. I worry that some people will use the opportunity to start to use "they" and "them" when referring to anybody Lebanon. In other words "They shoot missiles into Israel so - yeah - some of them are going to die. That's how war works. Don't want to be attacked? Don't attack." The same 'logic' will be openly used for the genocide in Gaza. And this vile "They're getting what they deserve" logic will start to go mainstream and even be used on networks like MSNBC that are usually careful to not be ghoulish by saying the quiet part out loud.
The funny thing is, and I think everyone should or probably knows already, keffiyehs aren't just a Palestine thing, let alone Levant thing... they're in Iraq and Yemen...
They're an accepted part of their cultural attire, not simply a political statement... so the reddit OP over here is showing their ass by complaining about this... lmao
I feel like it's healthy to read shit like this from time to time. It helps remind you that you can be a perfectly reasonable person minding your own business and a bad day might still be trying to have you. There are crybabies who want to make it your problem. You're never going to be able to read their mind and even if you did it'd be as if you possessed the cypher that allows you to read the necronomicon and be cursed with it's arcane knowledge. They're simply trying to make your day worse.
