Why would I say 'Marxian' instead of 'Marxist'?

Marxian is a follower of Marx, and from the planet Marx. Marxists are people that discriminate and are bigots against Marxians 😤

It's an approach in economics that usually rejects Marx's revolutionary politics but agrees with his critiques of capitalism. People like Richard Wolff identity as Marxian.

I think it usually refers to academic study of Marxist philosophy

I've heard it used recently, I can't remember where, but that Marxian describes ideas around the same time as Marx but not necessarily from Marx.

Honestly just assumed it was the old way of saying Marxist and never thought about it again
