Sprint race just for F1 rookies increasingly likely this year
A non-championship Formula 1 race for young drivers looks increasingly likely to be realised in time to be held this year in Abu Dhabi
This would be held at the post-season tests, with each team running one car.
I’ve wondered for some time if it would be worth having rookies racing with 2-year-old cars in parallel. Perhaps during the weekends where there’s no F1 race.

10 0 ReplyYeah… my plan pays absolutely no heed to the economics of it. 😅 I just want to see more races, and let someone else figure out the money. Heh.
Anyway, the article does mention that the main hurdle for a rookie sprint would be economical. Glad to read that it’s being seriously considered.
