Instead of saying he got too much time for "date rape" (and considering the harrowing story of Jane Doe 1 and the way it was suppressed by the Church of Scientology I'm not so sure you've read about the severity of these charges) you should ask why a drunk driver got so little time.

But killing one person drunk driving is a less severe crime than a serial rapist in my opinion.

30 years is drops in the bucket compared with the horror that he put his victims through. They have to suffer with that trauma, that pain, the mistrust of other human beings, for the rest of their lives.
