- Get the Shotgun. stroll right out the front door ask him "can I help you? And pump the shotgun.
  That'll fix any idiots attempt at trolling, or attempt at home invasion.

  It's 2024, we can buy cheap semi-auto shotguns now that don't require manually pumping to action the bolt.

I no longer live in a beautiful and isolated area. Not that I moved, but it's not beautiful anymore and the isolation is clearly gone.
- What a sad development. My best friend's parents used to live miles outside of town. When we were teenagers we'd lay in the middle of the 2 lane road in front of their house and stargaze. Now they're surrounded by track homes, the road is 6 lanes with non-stop traffic, and there's a huge shopping complex across the street from their house. It's been great for their property value, but not good at all for the lifestyle they chose.
For some reason I feel like that will explode.

Grab my hunting knife. Hide it under coat. Call my dogs. Go meet that thing. Knife has to be hidden in case it turns out peaceful like i am. (peaceful is not harmless)
That would really confusing since the only thing I can see from my kitchen window is my shop's wall a couple meters away.
