Google's Nearby Share for Windows is now out of beta

Nearby Share is a very apt name - it basically describes exactly what the entire point of it is. You can use it to quickly (and easily) share stuff between Android phones, regardless of maker. And starting today, you can use it to share files between Windows PCs and Android devices.

- And it is open-source, and not dependent on Google who might just kill this feature in the future anyway.

Just think, somebody probably got paid to come up with that name. How do I get that job?
That is honestly such a boring name. Google is so terrible at naming things.
- It's boring, but like someone else mentioned it tells you exactly what it does. So, I don't really see a problem with it.
  
  For me, it’s just another sign of how uncreative Google can be. They couldn’t even think of an original name for their folding phone, just copied Samsung’s naming. To me, it’s a little thing that actually indicative of a deeper problem.
I wonder if Linux would join in as well
I use this one to transfer big and small files and works very well.
