I had a hard time deciding between the red and the black, but they had just sold out of the black ones when I finally got my entrance ticket, so that made the decision easier π. I'll just have to wait in line again to get the black one.
I secretly kind of wanted the red one more, though, because it's the color Hamas wears.
I ordered one on Etsy around October and it never came. Letβs just say I have not called customer service to complain about never receiving it. I hope theyβre ok but Iβm pretty sure theyβre not. π
Hirbawi is fantastic, I bought mine in the same pattern ages ago, and it comes with me on every desert camping trip I take (back when I wasn't too lazy to do that)
This has prompted me to check the Australian supplier of Hirbawi and order 3. I'd been checking every few weeks.
Quite a few years ago (before there was clear distributor in Australia) I ordered one from an international supplier of good reputation. It never arrived. I assumed it was the difficulties of international mail or some bastard in customs binning it. Though had a Palestinian scammed me, no drama they need that money more than me.
You might find that there's a Friends of Palestine branch (or similar) in your city. Often they have outlets selling kufiyah if you don't want to risk it on international shipping again.
Thank you kindly for the advice. I think https://kufiyas.org.au/ imports them and then sends them out, so I should be okay. This was quite a few years ago when I had that problem.
Yeah I have several hirbawi kufiyas! They're very good and cozy. I like how they're kinda all season too. They protect your head from sun in summer and they're a good scarf in winter. They're also gorgeous!
