And then the developers have this clause reviewers have to agree to get a review copy of the game:

Gamer discourse will only get more confused and contradictory as China inevitably begins dominating the video games industry. Even if, hypothetically, none of their games ever reach mass appeal in the west, it's only a matter of time before the best available hardware is Chinese.
I'd like to say it will be fun to watch the chuds grapple with their sinophobia and anti-communism getting in the way of their rabid consumerism, but tbh I think most chuds will just quietly rationalize it and, at best, rant less about China. Maybe we'll even get some cursed synthesis like "China is only good because they're anti-woke!"
Actually I assume the second Chinese CPUs and GPUs become a competitive threat to Intel and AMD, they will be tariffed to hell. But unlike Chinese EVs, gamers would largely know what they're missing out on, as benchmarks are easy to share. I wonder how they'll handle knowing they can't max their framerates due to huge tariffs or maybe even complete bans 🤔

Not sure if it's a good idea to put it that way, especially from what I've experienced in this thread even as an outside observer that didn't know much about the game and now wants to know even less.
I said "weeb" to summarize the reactionary side of the game's fanbase and I got holy hell for it in this thread already, even being accused of "low-key" racism. Fuck's sake, I know the Wukong mythos enough to be very aware that it's of Chinese origins. There's overlap, of course, such as the Dragon Ball series being based upon the same character.
Something about this game seems to inspire remarkable toxicity in its fandom so far to me, and not just from a 4chan /vg/ direction.
I haven't heard of this before and now I never want to hear about it again. Sounds like a weebified version of Mordhau, which was already infested with an ultra-toxic fandom.
Or maybe Kingdom Come Deliverance, with its chuddy head of company.
EDIT: I made a serious mistake by saying "weeb" in this post because I intended to talk about a fandom, not the region or even the thematics of the game itself with the use of that word there. Reading my own unedited sentence up above for myself indicates I also failed to make it clear I was talking about the fandom of Mordhau and how this seems like a further Asian-stuff-seen-as-cool-and-mystical-and-untainted-by-woke focused subset of it.
My interest in this game has never been lower and I hope to avoid its fandom in the future, that's for sure.
