One campaign email acknowledged Boebert is being "pummeled" by her Democratic challenger...
It’s official: Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert (R) is scared. Recent polling has shown Democratic frontrunner Adam Frisch in the lead in Boebert’s district, and now the anti-LGBTQ+ Congresswoman is pleading with voters for help.
According to the Aspen Daily News, Boebert’s campaign sent three successive emails at the end of August that acknowledged the possibility of Boebert’s defeat.
…
The emails were reacting to the results of a Keating Research poll that showed Frish beating Boebert in the 2024 election to represent Colorado’s Third Congressional District.
The poll showed that 50% of likely voters in the district say they will vote for Frisch, who almost beat Boebert in 2022 in the purple district, and only 48% say they’re voting for Boebert. Frisch holds a bigger advantage – 17 points – when it comes to unaffiliated voters, the group that the Frisch campaign has said it’s trying to appeal to in this election cycle. He also has a 32-point advantage with Latin voters.
A majority – 53% – of likely voters in the survey had an unfavorable view of Boebert, and only 42% had a favorable view of her. 34% had a favorable view of Frisch, while 26% viewed him unfavorably.
I have an old phone number that used to be owned by a conservative I know. I have been getting these over the top "IT'S ALL OVER AND YOU HAVEN'T HELPED, 5X MATCH NOW!!!!" texts pretty much every day of every election cycle for years now.
Telling followers that the world is ending unless you give them your money donate to the campaign seems to be just the way they fundraise these days.
To be fair, I get emails from Nancy Pelosi literally every day about Trump and asking for donations. I'm not sure why I haven't unsubscribed....that shit is annoying.
The wording is a little strange but it seems like that's the voters who belong to a party and that he has a 17 point lead with independents. Wish they'd just have simple bar graphs or something when they talk poll numbers....
They. don't. care. There's a (R) next to her name, she hates "woke" people (wink wink) and abortion, she loves Trump and gun proliferation. That's literally all that matters.
I mean, that's the same reasoning I use to vote Democrat, but my definition of "evil" is based on demonstrable facts, instead of the facial expressions made in a "Tucker Reacts To Hypothetical Scenario" video.
I drive through her district once a year to get the best peaches in the world and it’s always so confounding to see all the “Boebert Country” signs and stickers. It really is weird. Far from being embarrassed, these people actually like her. If it weren’t for Pitkin County, she’d win in a walk.
Well she does have that fancy schmancy R next to her name. I'm a simple man, some may confuse my level of brain activity with that of a dead man, but when I vote that's usually all I pay attention to
I was going to say I was thankful she wasn't actually in my area, then I remembered who my representative is and honestly don't know if she's worse than Gym Jordan or not
Good. Let the bitch sink. If she also wastes donors money in the process, the better. Any cent wasted for her election fund is a cent that cannot be spent on Trumps lawyers.
Came to say this. She's a brand now, like Palin. My hope is that once she leaves office she'll suck donations from the regular GOP and keep it in her own hands.
She does some performative acts to spout propaganda and lies to stir outrage. So while more than nothing not by much and not exactly what reps are supposed to be doing in a well functioning democracy. Hopefully the voters will be swayed enough to get her out.
Wasn't she also the one who submitted mileage expenses that didn't seem plausible? I sort of forget exactly what she vs the other troll (by actions) in the house did, neither seem to want to help the country.
Eh she doesn't have the charisma or ability to hold an audience. She might show up as a commentator from time to time but it will 100 percent be filler when someone better suited bails at the last minute.
The thing that i find most fascinating about american politics is that they galavant around the country or their district and people take the time out of their life to go see them and give them money.
But i guess if you don't find megachurches bizarre, this is normal too.
I hope she does lose. I'd really like her to get wrecked, but unlikely considering how red a large portion of her district is from what I've heard/read. the sooner she fucks off to obscurity, the better.
There are a couple of Republicans running against her in the primary, and they're far more qualified. Still assholes, but they seem to be able to read, so they're miles ahead of her. I wouldn't be surprised at all if she loses to one of them.
Her local home town population HATES her, even the Republicans. They made sure her restaurant went out of business (now a Mexican restaurant) and they're running other Republicans against her.
Sometimes I remember the family guy sketch of jerry falwell and pat Robertson after the https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=bEvjkDpEtKk
The sentiment seems to apply to so many republican "angst" moments.
"Why am I losing this campaign? I hated all the right things."
At least it is how I imagine that they think about these things.
You people here just don't seem to understand how most people vote. There's a lot of people claiming "she's got a R next to her name, that's enough for most republicans", but I'd wager the people making those comments haven't voted anything but D for decades. This sentiment goes both ways and is why our government is trash. People think THEIR politician is doing fine, it's everyone else's that sucks. Newsflash, they all suck.
