I absolutely am. I'm also planting strategic deciduous trees to shade the house, porch, and driveway during the summer.
Doing this now to our front yard. Besides all the benefits of not having to water, fertilize, or mow it, hopefully it will also attract pollinators and be much more interesting to look at than grass.
I like to think I re-wild my apartment every weekend. I did just get my first plants, too.
