Comrade let me remind you that old.reddit with RES is by far the superior way to read
on desktop anyway. The new UI is designed to slow people down and make information harder to parse because, in the absence of providing more value, capitalist website designers make their sites harder to navigate so as to drive up total-time-spent for ad metrics (ads that you'll never see because you use uBlock origin).Let me further remind you that if you are on mobile, third party apps can be patched using ReVanced to still work and provide, again, a better UI with no ads.
There is no reason to ever look at

I have my glorious Sync for Reddit back! Thanks for reminding me about ReVanced. Been meaning to look into it. I used to used the YT Vanced app back in the day and sort of forgot about it after it got killed and moved to NewPipe(which I guess is an Invidious wrapper since it now doesn't work along with my Indivious app on my tv).

I'm partial to RIF myself but I've heard Sync is great.
Make sure to check the official site and the discord, and only use patching options. Never install a patched app that someone provides you, that's a known way malware is spread -- knockoffs pretending to be ReVanced forks that offer pre-patched applications to just download and install so you don't have to run the patcher itself.
