Well, Iran and their allies' response may happen sometime this week and apparently they aren't talking to the US in order to negotiate how and where they will hit Israel (and Shoigu arrived in Tehran rather auspiciously), the Bangladeshi government just fell, F16s have been given to Ukraine, there are fascist riots in the UK, and Japan just had its worst stock fall since 1987 and seems to be taking several other countries/corporations with it. I don't really know where to look right now.
The COTW (Country of the Week) label is designed to spur discussion and debate about a specific country every week in order to help the community gain greater understanding of the domestic situation of often-understudied nations. If you've wanted to talk about the country or share your experiences, but have never found a relevant place to do so, now is your chance! However, don't worry - this is still a general news megathread where you can post about ongoing events from any country.

Yeah. IMO saying "Zionist operated government" is 100% true. Because most of those Zionists are quite solidly American, and few of them are even Jews. Like, Genocide Joe and KKKopmala are some of those Zionists operating the government. That's not some anti-Semitic conspiracy theory; it's fact.

I understand that talking about Zionists in terms of conspiratorial shit has historically been a very bad sign. And it's in part because leftists and other anti-fascists didn't dare poke our heads up to correct all the Zionist propaganda about Israel being synonymous with Judasim. Much like the century plus of red scare bullshit.
The reality is that we still have to cope with dog whistles based on that history of anti-Semitism. I just hope we can move full speed away from it and make Zionist a bad word for all the right reasons. In the meantime, I'm personally trying to walk the line of reminding people it shouldn't be as bad as it sounds, but staying away from using phrases like that myself.

Not nearly as many as people here think. Something like 70+% of Jewish Israelis were born in Israel. I think dual passport holders were, idk, i want to say that i saw 10% but that number was sketchy and poorly attributed.
