The thing is, we all (mostly) have access to that written knowledge, and friends gave me the same advice, but it's very difficult to internalize it and accept it sometimes.
I mean, it's ok to have ideals and have a list of things you want in a partner. Just have 2 lists, 1 list is the bare minimum of what they need to be considered a romantic partner and then a second list of extra stuff that makes them stand out to you.
And guys a woman's list for guys is already pretty fucking low. It basically consists of being a genuinely nice person for the sake of being nice. Show actual interest in her and not just her body, and it helps to have a few fun hobbies.
