Unironically good. More people should experiment with hormones. Science has handed you the tools to feel and be nearly whatever you want, and trans radicals have done all the hard work of figuring out how to DIY safely. Godspeed, u/Pretend-Scheme-9580. This is so fucking cool. I'm literally so happy for this man. Taking some girl pops to see how it feels to girlie pop is unironically a great way to learn more about people. Like, you can't actually know what hormones do until you try the other one. Being able to directly compare E and T would help show people what a universal, individual, and hormonal response is.
I just adore the fact that this boy was curious enough to do this. I think that people underrate how much having high or low levels of your primary and secondary hormone change you. Going from low E for a man to high E for a man does change your external expression and internal experience. I think a lot of cis people don't realize that they aren't at the right levels for them. Different kinds of personalities respond better to different hormone levels. The higher my E the happier I am. A lot of cis women's mood drops long before they actually go through menopause because their E levels have been falling.
Higher E makes my emotions feel lighter and more soothing to express. Lower E makes me feel heavy and apathetic. I've also noticed a differences in small testosterone fluctuations. I feel different at 20 than at 35. Normal for a man is like 300 to 1000.
Oral E definitely feels nice, but injections were a game changer. For the first half of the week, I'm having giggle fits, im swinging my feet off the edge of the bed while I scroll through social media on my phone, and I also just feel a bit more romantic and sensual. My equipment still works, but if it didn't I probably wouldn't notice or care (which is not how I would have felt before going on E).
If people are okay with the potential physical changes, I'd say give it a shot. Its a hell of a ride.
I recently watched a video about the mental side effects of doping in bodybuilding, the guy explaining his experiences seemed genuinely scared of the violent thoughts, anxiety and frustration that the testosterone overdose caused
Maybe HRT has clinical uses for mental health even for cis people
