Thoughts on selling trump/biden merch to cash in on the democracy grift?
Not working right now and listening to trueanon talk about selling shirts at trump rallys. Things are going to be insufferable for the next few months, and i'm not working. Should i make some drumpf/brandon merch and try to cash in?
Sure, but you're super late to the party. You need to sell something stupider and easier to buy/sell/use. Like an unlicensed grilled cheese stand that grills political slogans into the bread or Patriot Water. or $7 DR. Jill Biden approved water
seems risky. how much would you need to sell to make it worthwhile? how much of that will you need to front for printing and traveling around following trump? how well can you afford to lose all of that money and time if they don't bite?
The online market for swag with stuff printed on it is massively oversaturated right now. The get rich quick grift economy has moved from drop shipping electronics to drop shipped printing.
There are a bunch of online print shops that will take an image file, print it, and ship it to a customer for you. There are also data services that scrape Etsy, eBay, etc, then sell sales data to other sellers. So even if you make a unique design that sells, competitors will steal them and be selling them for less almost immediately.
Hiding the mask somehow would probably be the way to go.. I've also thought about a "yell at the lib/tankie" where you really play it up as a character and charge people for photos.
Someone mentioned brandon urinal cakes and that might be the way to go. Get a bunch of something cheap on Aliexpress, buy some stickers that say "brandon stinks", slap the stickers on, sell them. Maybe. Idk.
How long does shipping take and how many can you sell before you commit to buying any stock? If you buy in enough bulk on Alibaba, they will add your branding to the product on their end but I've never used the service myself and it may take longer for customised items.
I feel like the only downside would be the ethics(or lack of) involved in making it cost effective. You would probably need to leverage drop shipping from manufacturers with questionable labor practices.
