I didn’t even know it existed so they clearly need to advertise it better.
Funny. I knew all about it and saw mentions and promotions leading up to it and during it multiple times. I'm guessing some time zone displacement or something? Maybe some community separations?

I posted here about this exact question already, but it was very difficult to get instance admin's attention 😅
I’m an instance admin and I’ve never heard of this matrix room before. Did you try advertising it on the official matrix Space for Lemmy?
I didn't advertise it in the general project chat, I sent it in the general admin chat
my reasoning was to "surprise" the general users of lemmy but still give admins plenty of time to prepare for it
