yup. i'm tied to unreal engine 5.
(yes, i know there's a version for linux. i need to be on windows for the latest updates and work though.)

6 0 ReplyJust uninstall the OS. If you have physical access then must do what you need to do in order to be productive
2 8 ReplyUsually the uefi is locked and secure boot is enabled. You could even boot a different OS if you wanted.

You clearly have not worked at most larger companies which have Acceptable Use Policies (AUP) which typically involves not modifying the PC and OS with threat of termination when (not if) discovered.

Because the software we write has to run on windows and only windows. No Linux or wine or any other platform. It’s a fixed requirement from our client and unfortunately I don’t see that changing.

There's no alternative, Linux doesn't meet my needs as a PC user so I'm stuck with windows.
