Now I don't just assume that any post by myself or others will be terribly popular in our community, but at ~two upvotes after half a day of theoretical visibility, something does seem a bit 'off' with the last one.
Note: copying my co-mod here, as we had a very similar issue a ~month ago across the FV.
Yup, the most recent post now has 'normal upvotes,' and what's more-- here in Chrome, I'm now seeing pop-up image content from instances and offsite sources I didn't used to see.
If I could explain myself-- as someone conceptually with 'one foot out the door' in terms of Chrome, it was one of those issues (the lack of distributed image content) where I just sort of rolled my eyes and shrugged it off, assuming that: 'when I move to FireFox, this stuff will be solved.' (hah, but who knows?)
Anyway, I really should have talked about this more so we could have tested it out more specifically. Still, better late than never. I'll make a test post on our sub and hopefully any folks still with issues as above can let us know what's up.
Ooh, and thanks for that link!
I'd totally forgotten about donating to Lemm.ee, but now that I'm going back to PayPal, I know what my first transaction shall be. :-)
Anyway, I’m not sure if you’re joking above or what.
No joke, I posted a screenshot of the eurographic community as it is on my home instance, showing two posts after my "Valhalla" series highlight. Basically to ask if there had been any cool posts I missed (which I checked manually, nothing missing)...
I’ve experienced bugs where the interface “locks up” and I have to hard refresh the page. Maybe you’re experiencing something related?
Eh, there's a bunch of crazy shizzle like this that regularly goes on in Chrome.
I have no idea why I use it anymore, other than slavish, idiotic habit.
But no... that clearly isn't the trouble in this case.
Anyways, doesn’t seem to be related to the temporary federation issues. You’re all coming through clearly.
And again-- I don't mean to pump myself up, but like I said in the first place, 2-3 upvotes for the latest post, whether it sucks or not, is absolutely not normal for us.
EDIT: actually, things look better than ever, now.
