I have tried the PERi-PERI Chicken i've head a lot about since I arrived n the UK, I have to say I thought there was more for 9.25 Pound
So I went to try Nando's in the UK, because I've heard a lot about PERi-PERi Chicken in the least months
I went there and I have to say I was confusd on what I received for the price
The Image I clicked on:
Now the Burger was insanely good, but wow prices are so high here, I fought 9.25 pound was a full meal
Unlike everyone else in this thread and like most of the UK, I enjoy the odd cheeky Nandos. But yeah, you're paying a lot for the name and less so for the food. That said, it's nice to have once in a while.
People are weird. I'm just as guilty at everyone else though. Most of the time if I see something I don't like, I'll leave it alone but every once in a while, my opinion is more important than everyone else's experience. 😭
Literally every part of my experience having gone there 2/3 times was shite; soggy chips, overcrowded and obnoxiously loud, the chicken burger literally is no better than my local fast food joint (and a hell of a lot worse than the slightly upmarket fast food places).
Most of that could be forgiven if the prices were reasonable but they're not; I seriously struggle to see any redeeming factors or reason for it's popularity beyond the meme of "cheeky Nando's", yet there's not anything cheeky about it beyond the cheek of what they get away with!
Okay, as a Londoner, I'm spoiled with options and I can say that in terms of Peri Peri seasoning, Nandos is actually up there. In terms of being able to get food with an option of heat, Nandos is actually up there. The sunset burger is actually up there. I don't eat potatoes so I'm not your man for that. Regarding the quarter or half chicken, it's alright. As for being overcrowded and loud, isn't that because it's popular?
I'm vegetarian so there's very few places I can get spicy fast food wraps like that. Sure, I could buy the sauce and make it myself for cheaper but if that was the perfect solution then no fast food outlet would exist to begin with.
