Sad how many people don't seem to get not persecuting people based on their race/religion/orientation, does not mean blindly protecting people who are doing terrible things.
Judge people not by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. Which to be quite frank, Netanyahu's character does not appear very good.

Israel was once a shining light of the potential of socialism and democracy. Those nationalist terrorists that went on to form likud are the rot that has turned it into what it is. King, being a christian socialist, I'm sure saw great value in a socialist state with religious underpinnings. Unfortunately Zionism proved to be a stronger influence.

Yeah, he was right in the middle of his rightwing takeover of the government by neutering the power of Israeli courts when this war broke out, and he isn't polling well. I suspect this is informing his decision making.
Yep. I remember reading articles about this and he managed to get queer people, Israeli Arabs and Jews all together protesting against that. And he was for neutering the courts so he wouldn't have to face criminal charges or a conviction for corruption.
