  No, he's tariffing the US importers of foreign products.
  
  If you put tariffs on everyone importing, you effectively sanction yourself.
  
  True, but I find it important to correct the statement "he's tariffing us [EU countries]". Maga sectarians are working very hard to establish the lie that foreign countries pay tariffs when the US imports foreign goods even though actually the US importers pay tariffs.
  
  I'd be nice if we used the definition of tariff, as import tax, instead.
