I'm thankful that some people in influential positions are still speaking up and not backing down. Bernie is a real one, and we should all strive to be more like him

He bowed out when he let Hilary take the nomination. He said as much. Dude has been tired for a while now... Watching the conflict in his eyes while he was practically mouthing the words to Biden's speeches was heart crushing
If we had another Bernie, we'd rally behind them. That's what Bernie wants, that's what America wants, and the closest we have is AOC... Who is great, but at least a decade too young to take his place. Optics are what they are, no matter how stupid they may be... And the Democratic party really loves the idea of seniority and waiting your turn
He's back in the spotlight because he has to be. He has to be because he has too much integrity to say "fuck it" and just retire. He wants to, he deserves it, but his county needs him

I mean that's what I'm trying to say: He's 83; this man is one health complication or fall away from being bedridden and completely unable to lead anyone to anything. Hell, he could just die tomorrow for all we know. That's why a replacement is not optional; if y'all don't want the history books to say that after bernie Sander's death in 2027 the progressive movement in America ceased to matter in national politics y'all gonna do something and do it now.

Bernie represents what the vast majority of Americans want, as poll after poll divorcing a policy position from a specific candidate has been showing for literal decades. But that's not where the money goes.
