Unfortunately you're probably right. Anything even remotely connected to politics has gotten so cult-like that "nuh uh" has become a valid defense for most.
At least he's not my Congressman anymore, I'll take what I can get.
Won't matter unless he's got hella damning evidence, maybe not even then. Anything he says going forward will look like petty revenge.
If you live in america, you can/should arrange a protest.
