Anyone else feel like Trump has a much higher chance to win then Presidency than Kamala?
Idk, when you look at the entire picture, does Trump not have the far easier path to 270 this year? He only has to win 2 states (PA & GA) and that’s it, he wins. Kamala has to win at the minimum 3, and if she loses PA, it becomes even harder for her. Trump could just spend all of his money campaigning in those 2 states and get back in the White House. Yet these odds seem to disagree with me.
37% of Americans can't afford to pay a $400 bill without taking on further debt, and that means 37% of Americans can't afford to miss a day of work to vote.
Federal law doesn't require employers to give employees any time off to vote, much less paid time off. Instead, the laws vary from state to state: Just 29 states and the District of Columbia currently require employers to give employees time off to vote in general elections.
The US is more like the EU than any specific country as each state has its own laws but are also bound by federal ones. In Colorado, where I live, we all vote by mail in ballot, which can be mailed in or dropped off in voting drop boxes anytime. No need to drive to a polling station or wait in line.
Originally only land owners could vote. The forefathers had little faith in the uneducated masses. After seeing people's posts online for the last couple of decades, I'm not sure they were wrong.
You said something like: "The founding fathers only intended for educated landowners to vote, and the more you see from the Internet, the more you think they were right."
Ah yeah, I said "I'm not sure they were wrong to not trust the uneducated masses". But then I thought about it more and didn't like that message, so I deleted it.
