Weird to recommend someone develop software for Linux then, on the basis that "it should Just Work ™️ in Windows because Windows has the Linux Windows Thing"
Dawg, you can't make a post talking about how dumb you are, include an anecdote that demonstrates how dumb you are, and then get defensive when people call you dumb lol.
Also, if you actually want productive help, you probably need a financial literacy class and a financial advisor, not a post on Lemmy.
I don't think anyone is saying that the story of Hades isn't portrayed well with the rougelike style, but it's totally ok to say "I don't have time to play a game that's designed such that you fail dozens of times before you win"
Ubisoft sucks, yeah, absolutely, no disagreement there. It's just kinda funny to compare a video game company that makes games about dismantling governments to a guy who's actually, currently dismantling a government, hyperbole or no
Eh, I think that in the context handling classified information, it's fair to say Signal is "insecure", purely because anyone with a phone number can have an account, and can be accidentally added to sensitive conversations.
You know, like the exact thing that happened in this article.
Not that that's Signal's fault. But the fact that it's even possible makes Singnal unusable for handling classified information.
Well, see, the thing is that it 100% absolutely positively no-questions-about-it does warrant a meeting and government approved, Internet-disconnected communications methods.
The fact that Trump's entire fucking cabinet apparently disagrees is what concerns me.
The one enabling people to understand and use their devices on their own.
If you're using a UI, and you have a question about something or don't understand what you're doing, isn't that a sign that either the UI you're using is insufficient, or your own knowledge is lacking?
Good UI/UX conveys function.
Exactly. By itself, a good UI should "enable people to understand and use their device on their own". If you're a UI user and you can't figure something out on your own, maybe you need to use the terminal to accomplish whatever you're trying to do.
No they didn't. Only like 60% of eligible voters actually voted in this past election. Which means only about 30% of eligible voters voted for Trump. About 80% of the country's population are eligible voters, and since only 30% voted for Trump, 80% x 30% = 24% of the population voted for him. Roughly a quarter of people voted for him, not half.
And for anyone who's wondering, "why did only 60% of eligible voters vote?" The answer is mostly voter suppression in various forms.
Hol up we may have something here
