Transphobia is not like other bigotries.

To get past anti-black bigotry, one can sympathize with what it's like to be disrespected or judged unfairly. To get past anti-homosexual bigotry one can sympathize with what it's like to have a sexuality that you didn't choose. In these examples, you have to reexamine how you think of other people.

But for a cis person to get past transphobia, you have to reexamine your ideals about sex and gender; you have to change how you think of yourself. This is threatening to identity and ego. If you add in the rigid and strict gender norms of reactionary thinking, it's threatening to the order of all things; a rebellion against God and country.

Why do women never take their mother's name?

It's important to use a regular shop for routine maintenance because you'll build a relationship for when something major goes wrong. The extra cost is worth it.

Plus, imagine what kind of "mechanic" works in these places. Accepting low wages implies they can't get a job at a real shop because they suck, or because they have no experience.

What cracks me up is that toxic people my age would say that if your going to lather up with a body wash and exfoliating sponge you may as well invite your boyfriend into the shower with you.

This system is fine. While patterns are obviously easier to hack, having unique passwords for each site and being able to remember them puts your friend in the 90^th percentile of computer users.

What men are afraid of is being gay. Sexuality research suggests that sexual preference is a spectrum, not a binary. So it's common to have same sex attractions. Our culture will instill that being gay is the worst, before you even know what gay is. It's also shockingly common for boys to be sexually victimized.

Many men question their sexuality. Now add in the nonsense of reactionary gender rolls with strict and rigid religious dogma and it's no wonder. Being anti-gay is loudly signaling no-homo to the world.

This also explains why closeted gay reactionaries are the most zealous inquisitors. From their puzzle-piece perspective, indulging in gay sex is like openly committing a felony and getting away with it. Of course they hate the openly queer.
