Sorry, I have not done that yet. Presently I am waiting for it to come back alive. Last 3 boots have been a no show.

SMART may not be trusted when it is clear but could still be useful in cases showing errors. In my case I would happily replace the SSD if it shows any error.

In monsoon in my area due to moisture build up I have had computer behave strangely before, particularly RAM. Cleaning the contacts helped then.

There is this other line of thinking. Most frequently used should be more easily accessible hence bigger. That is what is causing confusion here.

May be there is a clash in keys between F-droid version and Codeberg version or something.

I am on Android 14. I should fully uninstall the older release and see if the new ones installs cleanly.

The APK from Codeberg just seems to crash the package installer for me. Has anyone managed to upgrade from F-droid build using the APK?

People don't value things until they lose them.

Edit: Seems the app has been transferred to the community rather and I was just seeing the universe immediately after while the proto-stars were being born 😄

Good to know that at least the code is out there. I feel bad for the developer though, he was nice and dedicated.

Something seems to have happened and Raccoon dev has simply deleted all code, deleted the community and exited the scene.

Well that is how it was mentioned in the post on Super User forum. It has worked out for me.

Why the 'wow'?

I have read just now that if I give myself ownership of a special file called '.' (just the dot without quotation marks) in the partition I could achieve this. I seem to have succeeded for now in this. I will use it for sometime and see how it goes. This at least solves the problem of using a data partition for backup.
