Most studios do not spend large amounts of money to appear on advertising shows either and with Hello Games' history they should defo have a qualified PR manager or at least some serious consultation about it.

Yeah, that's what all trailers are, but Rockstar ones are never that great. Compare them to, for example, Bethesda trailers. It's a night and day difference, even if the Rockstar games are usually better, the Bethesda trailers just instill more awe and hype imo. It's the way trailers usually tell a mini story, the music having impact with what's on screen and the Rockstar trailers usually miss the mark on this.
Insurgency was great, but I never got into Sandstorm and just stopped playing Insurgency at that point. I think they were expecting to go big with the sequel, but it was always going to be a niche game.
I'd like to be an optimist when it comes to things like this, some people really really can't stand needles and something like this would be great for them people. I hope it develops further.
Tomb Raider reboot is pretty well optimised. The games look beautiful with great performance. It used the in-house Foundation engine.
It's a shame the next game will be on UE5, UE games always a certain look and jank that just makes them feel 'cheap' to me. Along with, usually, a lot worse performance.
