  • While I appreciate your recognition of our hellish political landscape, I'm choosing to completely disregard your "advice" as it's entirely unhelpful and unproductive. I'm pursuing this specifically bc it's already far beyond a disruption to my life right now. It's a fucking nightmare. Without evaluation I can't get the proper treatment I'd like to help me mitigate the disaster zone that is my mind.

  • While venting about it to a friend, they gave me the info for where th y go for treatment. I gave them a call, asked and ADHD evaluations are the only evaluations they do. I lucked out hard and was able to get an appointment in mid March, now I just got to make sure I get there on time lol

  • They're pretty solid honestly. I chose a shield over one bc at the time I wanted some apps that required side loading, but now that I have an emby server that's moot. The only thing I'm not a fan of is the touch remote, but they still have a remote app so I can just use my phone instead.

  • As an Apple and Linux user, all the people I know that will"throw money" at new apple hardware have enough to not care. They're not power users, they just want something simple and reliable, and apple hardware checks those boxes. The actual apple fans I know are buying refurb, using oclp to keep old machines going longer, or just wait until there's some form of price drop.

I think it's also worth noting to this person that the apple tv hardware costs LESS than a shield tv. But that head is likely so firmly rooted in their own ass that it'd take an auger to remove it.

  • I do, I've even recently increased my sessions from every other week to once a week, but I can't always afford to call him when the anxiety kicks in and keeps me from being able to do anything but cry. We're definitely going to have a (seemingly)fast session next week.

  • Those lil outings can be appreciated as long as your team knows and can trust what you just told us. It’s understandable if you’re not in control of that and can only do so much. Sounds like you’re not at the tippy top. Standing up for your team is the best thing you can do for them. Don’t stop.

  • Skeleton crew, Mando, Boba, Ahsoka, and iirc Resistance are all set between OT and ST. Not disagreeing with your overall point, just that you have these in the wrong part of the cannon timeline for SW.

  • Thank you for the context.

I honestly expected that to be exactly that, overly alternating (at least from a stand point of majority of users) passwords. I was just curious as the grievance felt very case specific.

That's certainly a problem I thankfully do not encounter, our Mac users use their O365 logins just like our PC users. If they forget it, they don't need my help changing or checking it. I haven't encountered the wifi at login issue, though. That probably piqued my curiosity the most. Our Macs use web auth for login by default (with option to use locally cached password instead) and it requires an internet connection to work. If the mac's couldn't/didn't connect, most wouldn't be able to login. I could absolutely see this being an issue in a new place where no internet connection has been established before the issue, like a hotel or airport.

They all have a JIC hidden local account too, though. If OPs MDM tools include this option, it could be helpful for the cited scenario(s)

  • Why not just block the pervasive communities or instances? I get pretty annoyed with the AI content too, but it feels so much easier/satisfying to block the comms and know I'll never see them again lol
