  • They did answer your question. Based off what they told you, one can reasonably assume Sync for Lemmy will be to Lemmy as Sync for Reddit was to Reddit...

  • I'm honestly trying to figure out how the hell Meta is going to make money on this venture. The genie is out of the bottle for the Fediverse. If they try to show ads on Threads, people will presumably just get an account on a Mastodon instance and follow who they want from Threads...

  • Are you installing from scratch, docker, or Ansible? I know in Ansible the default nginx config has been wrong for a week or so, but just got fixed this morning.

  • It's the wrong way to go about it, though. Just tax businesses' profits and close the bullshit loopholes they exploit to avoid paying them.

  • Make sure you're on the latest version:

Actually, I see that option isn't available in the home screen post 3-dot menu, so I'll look into that and see if it was intentional.

  • Yeah, this is what happens when you stop listening to people who prop up your organization.

  • I used to pay for Google Play Music and get YouTube premium along with it, but stopped when Google decided to make a shittier app/service and drop it.

  • None of the YouTube clients I use block ads, they simply don't serve them to me 😂

  • Is it really blocking ads when you have a front end that doesn't even serve them? I'm not blocking ads, I'm just not requesting to see them lol

  • I'm a little surprised the drop in activity was that low. What the fuck were people browsing when most of Reddit was blacked out?

  • Sonarr and radarr manage downloads for TV and movies in a nice way for Usenet and actually torrents as well. You can set up quality profiles and choose which shows and movies you want to download and they will grab torrents/nzbs that meet your preferences, automatically start them in your torrent app or Usenet downloader, and then organize them in folders with appropriate metadata for Kodi/Plex when the downloads complete. They automate the process very nicely.

Edit, I'm a Usenet guy if that wasn't already clear lol

  • I'm hoping the Fediverse unites behind the Fuck Meta position. Not just no, but Hell no.
