I think the issue is with normalizing unhealthy bodies. idc how you look as long as you're healthy, but society is becoming increasingly accepting of obviously unhealthy lifestyles and bodies. It's no better than anorexia.
Tbf, that's probably because most CS majors at T20 schools get a math minor as well because of the obscene amount of math they have to take.
Our society doesn't cater to them. They decided that public schools weren't good enough so they went and made their own. I completely agree with them, public schools do suck.
People shouldn't be allowed to choose a better education for their children? Private schools aren't hurting anybody.
Plague Tale: Requiem is one of my favorite games ever (even though some parts of the gameplay really suck) and the soundtrack is a large reason why. Every bit of it is handcrafted for very specific reasons. The composer did a playthrough on YouTube explaining each piece in context.
Every instance is left leaning, it's Lemmy
What options are there really other than capitalism, communism, and everything that mixes the two?
Communism will save the environment.
Nowhere to go but up. Self-awareness is the first step.
Idk why you're being downvoted. It's always better to employ people and allow them to earn money rather than give them free stuff and destroy a local industry.
They've been saying that for 100 years now and it hasn't happened yet. Humanity has always been able to adapt to changing circumstances.
If we had a fascism problem you wouldn't be able to say that.
It's fake or 20+ years old
Since we're on the topic of Far Cry, pretty much every single character from Far Cry 6. The gameplay was fun but the story and writing was so incredibly bad that I had to force myself to complete story missions.
This isn't what most houses are like in the US. Sure, there's a lot like them, but places that don't have a strong HOA (most places) become very diverse after a while. My home was built in the 60s and was initially very similar to the ones around it. Over time each house gets changed little by little and every house becomes unique.
Are you having a stroke
- Kids shouldn't be coerced into being gay.
- Yeah lobbying sucks I agree
- If people don't want to have to work in prison then they shouldn't commit crimes.
Now that the hype's died down for the game, what's everyone's opinions about the game? Personally, I'm having more fun with it than I have with most other FPS games.
I asked this in askhistorians as well but it's not active (it should be though!).
There are simply some communities I can't find on Lemmy. For example, I use subreddits based on admissions to specific colleges that would never be able to function on Lemmy due to its size. I'd much prefer to abandon Reddit altogether but the information I need is usually only there.
Old but it hasn't been posted here yet
