  • Just put this into GPT 4.

What's your view of the fizbang Raspberry blasters?

Gpt 'I'm not familiar with "fizbang Raspberry blasters." Could you provide more details or clarify what they are?'

It's a drink making machine from china

Gpt 'I don't have any specific information on the "fizbang Raspberry blasters" drink making machine. If it's a new or niche product, details might be limited online.'

So, in this instance is didn't hallucinate, i tried a few more made up things and it's consistent in saying it doesn't know of these.

    Explanations?

  • VERGE articles seem to be getting worse over the years, they've almost reached Forbes level, yes this does raise some valid safety concerns. No Tesla isn't bad just because it's Tesla.

It doesn't really give us the full picture. For starters, there's no comparison with Level 2 systems from other car makers, which also require driver engagement and have their own methods to ensure attention. This would help us understand how Tesla's tech actually measures up.

Plus, the piece skips over extremely important stats that would give us a clearer idea of how safe (or not) Tesla's systems are compared to good old human driving.

We're left in the dark about how Tesla compares in scenarios like drunk, distracted, or tired driving—common issues that automation aims to mitigate. (probably on purpose).

It feels like the article is more about stirring up feelings against Tesla rather than diving deep into the data. A more genuine take would have included these comparisons and variables, giving us a broader view of what these technologies mean for road safety.

I feel like any opportunity to jump on the Elon hate wagon is getting tiresome. (and yes i hate Elon too).

  • Um.... Idk was it? Your tone seems overly aggressive, perhaps your worried about climate change, but don't worry! We've still got time to make meaningful changes on an individual level, Despite 70% of ongoing emissions arising from 100 companies. (i saw recently via a cartoon in here) so turn that frown upside down!

  • Incorrect, evs are still better than petrol, even under coal power, so it does do something. Also the grid will continue to get greener as coal shuts down and EVs will get greener too.

    Peer reviewed source:

Also there are plenty of additional studies showing this too.

  • I gave the article to gpt 4 and it said nothing and simply generated this image...

I asked if it was bullshit too and it said. 'Given the current understanding of physics, it's highly unlikely. Extraordinary claims like this require extraordinary evidence, and until such evidence is thoroughly vetted and confirmed by the wider scientific community, skepticism remains warranted.

  • I love my Tesla and hate musk with the fire of a billion suns.

I'm sorry haters, but Teslas are absolutely fantastic cars to own and drive, in my 2 years of owning one. ZERO ISSUES and 100,000km down.

That said the only reason I'll not buy one NEXT is because that nazi fuck head is attached to the brand and has poisoned the joy of owning it.

  • Man this EVs are heavier and use more tyres bullshit comes up ALL the time. Although they might be a little heavier compared to a similar shaped car, it's often not true as all and the amount of petrol suvs that are significantly heavier i never read they use tyres up as a reason not to get them..

  • Yeah i went on this in 2013 in Paris, i was stunned that PR wholesome Disney was happy to poison families as part of the ride, i distinctly recall my wife and i discussing how dumb it was. I'm equally as stunned in 2024 it's still not been switched to electric cars, i honestly assumed (wrongly) i was seeing the last of the petrol Disney car rides a decade ago.

We're super fucked re climate change aren't we?

  • Fwiw, i own a m3 and the doors open just fine as regular manual doors, the door handle is very obvious and it works anytime, including software updates (I've tried it), it also doesn't break anything.

Fwiw i also hate Musk and am embarrassed to be associated with a company he is ceo of. But this is a story about a very very stupid person, not a car design issue.

  • Well i'm not a scientist (actually I am, but not a climate scientist), but im gunna take a wild flailing stab in the dark and suggest it's maybe due to unfettered fossil fuel emissions.

Call me crazy but i think this might be what's happening here.
