  • Is my file in onedrive? Or on disk? Or is it in sharepoint? Or it could be in a teams chat - but isn’t that just sharepoint? I sent it to Tom also, but it was already in sharepoint because I had sent it to Jim, so it re-named it to something else. Where in sharepoint are my teams files? Or the teams files others have sent me? Is this actually an attachment on my email or is it a “shared link” in disguise?

I’m not sure what’s real anymore!

  • Apex by Unleash the Archers.

It’s a power-metal concept album, telling the story of an immortal being cursed to carry out the wishes of their summoner - in this iteration, “the Matriarch” - to kill her three sons so she may also gain immortality. The lead vocalist’s range is unlike anything else I’ve heard. It is incredibly well done.

Deloused in the Comatorium by The Mars Volta

I don’t have any way to describe this. It’s eccentric and awesome. The drums and guitars are powerful and delicious. Where were you when exoskeletal junction at the railroad delayed?

  • Chaos moves are so much fun.

When a friend and I play Coup (hidden role card game), we’ll typically start out playing normally - especially if there are new players - but as things progress, we get into “advanced” strategies. We might not look at our cards at all, and publicly proclaim it, such that nobody can possibly know if we’re BSing or not - since we don’t know ourselves.

  • Me: “Computer, I’m licking two paperclips that I’ve stuck into the vga port. I’d like to taste the rainbow. Send video to the port, please?”

    Computer: “Sure thing boss!”

Me: “Alright, now, can I put my presentation on this projector over hdmi?”

Computer: “No fuck you, hdmi protocol negotiation failed, and I’m scrambling your audio outputs for the rest of the day too”

  • Just got back from a week long work trip. I had everything I needed to run, except the mental game. I slept in. I did get a single late-night run in after the cigar bar; it sucked. Constant side stitches and cigar mouth made every inhale yucky.

I got back yesterday, and cleaned some earbuds - did my first run with music. Managed to keep a sub-9 (8:55 is technically sub 9!) pace for an hour; did 6.75 miles. Having music is incredible for the mental game.

Today I’ll try to do it again, and tomorrow is gear testing day. I’ll be the weirdest guy at the gym, running 10 miles on the treadmill at a steep incline with a backpack on. They’ll probably think I’m a prepper or something. At least I won’t have the altitude mask on lol

  • 10 miles Sunday, 4.7 on the treadmill yesterday, and 4.8 on hills this morning. So far so good!

Forgot to put this in my first comment - I’m training for the Bryce canyon 30k in May. The distance doesn’t scare me, but the altitude sure does.
