Zross?
X-Cross?
X-ross?
Oh, it's just pronounced Cross. Always unsure how people who make decisions like these get the jobs they do.
It's like, they're rewarded for being stupid.
Cocaine "no worse than whiskey," would be "sold like wine" if legalized worldwide, Colombia's president says
I don't agree with what this commenter said, but his post should not have been censored.

I hate defeatists like you and the impact you have on the world.
I wish you people would get off of your hands and do something instead of just telling other people to sit on theirs.
Blocked.

Making it illegal just causes more problems.
That's fine. "Defederation" will have less meaning as time goes on and there are different sections of the fediverse that support different ideals.
The more people that are afraid of "defederation" and adjust their behavior as a result, the more power it has.
No alternate opinions are allowed apparently…
Yeah, mods will just ban us if we get reported enough. It doesn't matter if the reports or accurate or if we're actually breaking any rules.
They don't realize it, but that kind of behavior has a long term effect on the health and perception of the community.
I'm looking forward to the sections of the fediverse that don't abuse their mod power. Right now we don't really have any since most of the mods are immature.
Lemmy is definitely turning into an echo-chamber among the bigger instances.
It's okay, though. Once enough people get censored, it opens up the opportunity for people to start instances that don't abuse their mod power.
I'd rather see lemmy.world shrink to irrelevance because their mods are just using it as a tool to push their agendas.
You might not be a pirate, but did you know they're censoring piracy communities from you? Not sure if you want to be a part of an instance whose mod team feels they get to make decisions like that for you.
original or thoughtful
That's the problem, the powers that b have deemed it necessary that we only have 1 of 2 ideas.
Either you're loyal to conservatives, or loyal to neo-liberals. Anything else is cause for a ban, and there will be no cavalry to defend you since you're not loyal to either side.
lemmy.world mods have already shown they're not interested in moderating fairly.
I jumped ship from that awful instance when they decided to block piracy communities.
Would love to see them fade into obscurity.
It's all a ploy to control what we think.
Ideas are powerful, that's why they don't want us to have any of our own.
Lemmy isn't much better. We still need communities that don't allow mod abuse.
If you get reported enough, the mods will censor or ban you even if you're not breaking any rules.
