It's insane the amount of trans hate I have been hearing this past month alone (in real life). I have to explain: Sure, they weren't always front and center as today's political issues make them seem but they still existed. Their existence is not a recent development in any way. Tiktok isn't turning your kids into anything.

It's not just people who identify as Republicans or religious people either. I can see why the anti-queer vote is important to both parties; their numbers are staggering.

I shudder at the thought of driving for work. It's already so hard to keep up spatial awareness of the crazy drivers for an hour or less. I cannot imagine 8 hours of that.

Aren't they the opposite? Unless you are saying we should use past experiences to protect ourselves in the future then shouldn't we still ban Facebook? Regardless of how you feel about tiktok, Facebook was never neutered.

American politics are unanimous on this issue. Biden complained Obama was being too hard on Neyanyahu. All Obama wanted is for Israel to stop bombing the innocent people in Gaza (and he asked Israel to halt building settlements for 3 months). Biden said that Obama was asking for too much and could risk Israel stop listening to the US. We reached this moment BECAUSE of Biden.

Trump sees how Washington is congratulating Biden while it's the liberal college students condemning him. That's a win-win situation in the mind of Republicans. In Trump's mind, bombing Palestine is good because Biden is getting away with it. Trump is saying he can do it better but isn't that what Trump says with everything. Is Trump new to you? Biden set this up.

I'm laughing at myself right now. I keep wishing people would switch to more progressive politics when people cannot even switch to a free piece of software with zero drawbacks even when their software starts blocking other software they use.

I have a lot of respect for Sway and wlroots developers. They contributed heavily to the desktop Linux ecosystem. However, if you need to explain that much at first boot; you may overload some users. I'm sure tiling in Plasma will get better as they splify configuration and figure out better defaults.

To the Kwin maintainer, I can see why tiling isn't a bigger deal. It's not exactly about copying Windows; it's more about not confusing most users. We already see tiling features, I'm sure they will figure out (1) more powerful features or (2) a way for other people to build off what they have. Let them cook.

I do agree that Linux will never be a Windows clone. There's no purpose in copying decades worth of bad decisions. Windows isn't great, it's just always compatible with hardware.
