Thus my quotes around "dead". I'm well aware people still play it, it's just an old design and if there are two Final Fantasy MMOs that someone could play, don't you think almost everyone would suggest the one in active development, with a significantly larger playerbase, and the one that has had a much better critical reception? Seems obvious to me
I mean, fucking whatever. Mt Rushmore sucks, I've been there. It insults the natural scenery by being a shitty half finished project on what was originally a beautiful mountain. Adding Trump to it would make it an even better metaphor for the US government, especially when he stops paying developers halfway through and we end up with a partially finished version of his face
As someone who briefly lived in NYC if anyone for any reason at all tries to stop you for conversation, Do. Not. Engage. Headphones in, never make eye contact, and never stop moving. Anyone who doesn't behave that way is a tourist, a cop, crazy, or a mark. None of which you want to be. So this is already self-selecting for people you don't want to interact with
A small USB-C hub. It has a USB-C out on one end then HDMI, 2 USB-A ports and another USB-C in on the other. I use it as my travel dock for my switch and steam deck, I've used it as a USB A to C converter, and I'll use it to test inputs on various TVs. I've gotten so much more mileage out of this $15 Amazon purchase than I ever would have expected
We insource our torture. Outside firms never get our branding right and it sends mixed messages to our consumers and adversaries. That said, having a single app for laundering services in each region's major currency would save me a lot of time and burner phones
Reminder: steam deck verified has to do with the game launching and having gamepad support. Performance doesn't matter that much. Wait until you see benchmarks before you make decisions, the game can still run like shit on steam deck
I get what you're saying but so far in my experience here the vast majority of AI content is at least identified as such. AI content is here to stay and in my opinion attempts to remove/ban it will just make it more insidious. If you go back to Reddit AI posts/comments are everywhere and absolutely none of it is labeled. On lemmy people get to choose to interact with it which I think is probably way better
Ugh, I try not to be this guy but 7/10 of those movies are remakes/sequels and of the remaining 3 one is the 14th iteration of a character, one is a video game adaptation, and the other is a superhero movie (I assume it ties into the MCU but I can't be fucked to care). I understand you typically get hyped for things you can expect but this list sucks
If there's one thing we've seen it's the Republican party's ability to run a government on a slim majority effectively. Oh wait, you're saying that doesn't happen? We're just going to watch a bunch of in fighting for months? Awesome.
I'm glad you're happy but I got similar results in half the time. I went from 40k, to 70, then 80, then 120, and finally 135 now in about 6 years. Of those each time I got a new job, except for 70 to 80 which was when I went from contracting to full time at the same job. Hell, I asked my manager at that job how I could get a raise and he said my best bet was to quit, go work somewhere else and come back in a few years. My number one piece of career advice I give everyone is "quit your job" especially if you work corporate
Inspired by MTG I'd say a Displacer Kitten. Basically a house cat sized version of a Displacer Beast, either naturally young or kept young with magic. All the cuteness of a kitty with the deadliness of a Displacer Beast
Club House Games is an easy recommendation. 51 games that are classics around the world. You probably know how to play the majority of them already. Likewise a Nintendo switch online subscription is the price of a game for a year and comes with N64, GBA, GBC, SNES, NES, and Dreamcast games. Pokémon stadium 1/2, Ecco the dolphin, Kirby super-star saga, Kirby dream course are all good
That's a fair criticism. It's the anti-noir which by definition means that the mystery isn't smart or sexy. It's a bunch of idiots and coincidences that resolve their problems through happenstance. I happen to be one of the people who finds those idiots unbelievably engaging. Honestly there's a lot of similarity to Seinfeld
And she was mostly returning the looks they were giving her!
