  • I checked and Mrs Doubtfire doesn’t have any dates in Texas on their calendar.

Jagged Little Pill will be in Dallas in January though. That show is…a bit, what they would call, “woke”. And there’s a character who was originally non-binary but now I think she was rewritten as lesbian.

Oh, wasn’t Roxie Hart played by a transgender black woman for a bit?

  • Not judging…but have you talked to your doctor about your newfound promiscuity?

A sudden change of a core behavior like this is concerning unless you’re like currently going through puberty. In which case it’s concerning for an entirely separate set of circumstances.

  • Personally I think gas is still too cheap.

Gas should be prohibitively expensive. It’s price should reflect its impact.

Unfortunately this would crumble the entire US and possibly western economy. It works in most of the rest of the world because the commutes are smaller and the alternative transit is plentiful.

  • Well that’s good to know. Will definitely have to look into it. My (oil) boiler and DHW are old as hell. I would love to go electric before they finally fail spectacularly and I get forced into replacing with more oil.

  • That actually sounds bangin. My only problem is I have underground electrical service and only 100A of it. I don’t even know where to start with that. Probably have to tear up my driveway and a bunch of trees to run a new service entry.

  • Sweet. I have oil-fired hydronic baseboard heat and indirect DHW. Live in Massachusetts. Does that mean they’ll be some good deals on moving to air-to-water heat pumps?

And what about the 1-3 days a year when ambient is outside of operating range? Bundle up in front of resistive space heaters?

  • True but it’s also on the doctor, pharmacist, and especially the vendor to communicate it to patients. Patients aren’t sysadmins and can’t be expected to know what sysadmins do.

That said, it’s also on the app developer to make sure their app works on release day. And that’s especially true for critical apps.
