I would prefer that we all de-federate from any corporations. If they are federated they will certainly be slurping up EVERYTHING they can touch, whether or not it's on their instance. As far as the 30m users, I'm pretty sure anyone with an Instagram account automatically has a threads account so the numbers are inflated from the amount of people actually using it.

Edit: I was wrong about the Instagram=Threads account thing. I still don't believe those numbers though.

Wefwef is pretty great so far. It's working better today than yesterday when I started. Hoping that trend continues and looking forward to seeing things grow here. I imported my subreddit list from Apollo and found a bunch of similar communities to follow. I'm pretty impressed with how much engagement I'm seeing on some of them.

Have you tried the wefwef.app web app yet? I'm using that on iphone right now and it truly looks and feels like Apollo. Sometimes things don't load the first try with comments and upvotes but I'm hoping things will only improve from here.

Recently played Axiom Verge 1&2 and currently playing Hollow Knight.
