Please excuse my maybe stupid question, but did you manage to move your account from lemmy.world to another instance?
If so, would you please share how you did that?
@jabberati I agree with your point, that content for content's sake is not ideal. i wanted to contribute to our new community, without reposting old stuff, which was not created by me, to gain interest and participation.
I sincerely hope someone more creative will post better and more original stuff than me in the future.
Until then i will continue to make some memes if the mood strikes.
i understand your point. at the moment lemmy is pretty young, but i see it as a process. At the moment i think lemmy is acquiring new users. since i do not have any significant hobbies or knowledge to share, i thought i will do my part in lemmy's growth by creating something and uploading it. i do think lemmy will gain some traction and a lot of new communities will florish over the next weeks and months.
I guess we all need some time to get used to this new experience.
I love the way people interact with each other on lemmy. Seems to me like a lot less toxic environment. Let's hope it stays that way.
Tbh I never really cared for this fake currency at all or engaged with it in any way. I think it is a giant middle finger from reddit to their users, who actually spend money on this kind of stuff. I deleted my account and I will not look back.
