  • Understood motivation and didn't care about pointless bullshit. Helps he was the co-owner of the company. He cared about growth and revenue and having a team motivated to achieve all that. He didn't care how or where or when I did the work, or having procedures for promotions.

The rule was - line goes up everyone gets a raise.

  • Perfectly represented - never. Partially yes - I can always find someone who's opinions are not completely abhorrent, and some of it agrees with mine. But it's never all in one candidate.

So I resort to alternate voting. If any of the acceptable candidates is currently in opposition I vote for them, choosing whichever party is not currently in government but has a reasonable chance to enter government in the next cycle.

  • I'm lowkey impressed (in a negative way) if someone can establish an emotional relationship with an AI.

It's hard enough to do it with an actual human where the other person does half of the work. AI only follows the instructions that you give it. Imagine having to do both sides of a relationship.

  • It happens, things become more popular in some countries than others ,and Germany has 80+ million people so it's not that small.

What I'm more surprised with is almost no content in Spanish, either from Spain or Latin America, just because of the number of speakers. I mean Hindi and Chinese are spoken by more people, but they tend to have their own software ecosystems.

  • Muhammed's ascent to heaven took place there (figuratively, not literally)

Just looked it up, Muhammed died in Medina. I kind of assumed he died somewhere in the the vicinity of Jerusalem and that's why his name is connected with the Dome of the Rock

  • Good. Boredom is the key to learning. Well it should be interesting on it's own, but take what you got.

Of course the manner of learning in most schools is not ideal, kids find it boring for a reason, but without distraction they might latch onto some bits of information just to survive the class.

  • Kind of. The act of driving itself is not pleasurable from me on it's own, but I mentally connect it with road trips which I love.
And this is the only situation in which I drive. If I had to use a car every day, I'd despise driving completely.

  • Makes me wonder how deep does the algorithm divide go. In these 1.5 years I was never served an explicitly pro-Israel content. On the other hand I was served pro-Palestinian and even some anti-Israel creators.

Sure this is just anecdotal, but there must be something behind it. The algorithmic bubble, or intentional manipulation, idk?
