I don't see any comment asking to remove all cars from the roads. Only that viable alternatives to driving be made possible by sensible zoning instead of building everything solely to cater to cars.

Driving isn't supposed to be as stressful as this comment put it. If it is then you shouldnt be allowed to drive.

I feel terrible because I didn't buy even a card for my wife's birthday. I just took her to her mother's house. This was two weeks ago. I am still baffled why I didn't buy flowers or something. My wife isn't demanding at all.

Israel is capable of defending themselves. Nobody is asking to leave them defenseless. All everyone is asking is for an end to the bombing of gaza, and now even Lebanon.

You're still nowhere near the expertise of doctors who go through nedical school for a decade or more and some even write papers for those peer reviewed journals. And some of their doctor peers review those papers before publishing journals.

Nobody is going to listen to you or some insurance company bean counter about medical advice over a qualified medical professional. They certainly should make it illegal for insurance companies to deny care contradicting doctors.

That's what everyone here is advocating for.. viable (includes mass transit like trains) alternatives to cars for transit. And sensible zoning policies that promote more denser hubs near railway stations.

If you have to defer to the law as justification for doing something purely selfish... then people will judge you to be an asshole.

I do the same... and i guess i am burnt out by lack of interesting and consistent work to do.

aspects of my job I absolutely hate:

1. Maintaining a DLL( or shared object) in a large piece of software where my team's scope is so narrow that we are just a conduit between two other processes. bugs get introduced by behavioral changes from upstream or downstream.
2. No real exiciting problem to solve.

I learnt Compiler design, Complexity theory, Concurrency, Algorithms, etc in college. But I look at bad code that does if (boolvar) return 1; else return 0;

3. Constantly get shuffled around on tasks by my manager who goes into panic mode if his supervisor asks about something.

Worst name ever honestly. It sounds like a porncast..

Then its dishonest to accept money for your fake business.

Its essentially a trade of your soul for writing emails.
