  • What really makes me laugh is the notion of Harvard, or any of the Ivies, as bastions of liberal thinking! Seriously, just about every single trust fund right winger has a degree from one of these schools, including the sitting president and his brood. Many of them have family names on some campus buildings. It’s always amazed me that this pathetic political bogeyman has actually worked. Just goes to show how stupid most Americans are (source: am an American).

  • Harvard needs to sue. I don’t know who or what, but they need to bring suit. Seriously, they have a pretty decent law school, run by some fairly knowledgeable people. When they decided not to bend over to the administration (ahem, Columbia), they had to know this would end up in court. Everything with Trump winds up in court, and he’s not going to listen to any results unless it’s from SCOTUS, and even then… So Harvard had to understand that was the fight they were picking. At this point, if they back down I would almost hold them in higher contempt than Columbia. At least Columbia didn’t bother putting up a front.

  • I think the underlying understanding is that Tony wrote the AI he’s asking to write the code. So, in effect, the AI he built is a form of scripting. Rather than spending his time churning out code, the AI will churn out code that’s up to his standard because he wrote the AI.

  • Busy! I was in TX last week for family vacation (not really vacation). Got home last Monday, and flew out Tuesday to Canada for work. Worked over the weekend, got home yesterday, and fly out this afternoon for an actual long weekend vacation in Vegas!

  • Recently decided to go back and watch Malcolm in the Middle. I watched it some when it first came out, and I kind of liked it. As a parent, it hits differently, and I like it a lot more.

ETA: as a new show, I really enjoy Hacks.
