  • Takamori was mostly a bit of playful banter that grew a bit out of control and started damaging their actual relationship off-screen. Both Kiara and Calli came out and said that it just wasn't good to keep fueling it and stopped playing it up for the audience. I would say that in general Kiara puts out gay vibes. If you peek behind the curtain some stuff becomes more clear as well since both Kiara and Calli are pretty lax with their IRL content.

  • From my understanding, Nyanners was a lot more of an edgelord type when she was younger and since she's been very online growing up, it's just sorta a thing that's there now. Generally she's pretty cool, has a bit of a hate following since she ditched the 4chan types a while back so they'll pounce at any opportunity to be awful.

  • It depends on the nursing school program as to how aggressive the culling will be. I went to a well regarded associate's program because it's cheap and has a good reputation in the region. The culling was ungodly. To even qualify to get into the program you needed to pass A&P I and II which were brutal classes requiring shitloads of study time because the tests were made to be "nursing school" difficult. You also needed at least a B+ if you were going to be considered for the program because entry is competitive. Then once you hit nursing school after all the prereqs and competitive entry, welcome to hell. My classmates that were successful tended to spend like 40-60 hours a week on school stuff between clinical rotations, studying, frequent classes, and whatever extra bullshit they threw at us like simulations. The tests were brutal intentionally doing trick questions and having 3 correct answers but having to pick the "most correct" because that's what the NCLEX did. Come the end of the first semester, like 2/3 of the class had been culled and that was normal. You picked up maybe 3-4 new people in semester 2 with LPNs picking up, but even then, by graduation it was like a quarter of the class that was graduating. Keep in mind that the obscene requirements never went away, if anything they got harder with requirements to pass with >78% or fail.

If I had the scratch I absolutely would've gone to be a doctor.

There's also the issue that even the medical field has been saying is probably not a good idea with the push for BSN qualified nurses to be the majority. 2 year programs provide a solid entry into the field especially with the level of 2 year education I got. The second two years are there for management and research based classes which has a purpose but doesn't make them "better" nurses. At my last job I worked with an LPN that had years of experience and picked up on stuff I would sometimes miss. Would bet good money that she was a far better nurse than those with fancy degrees that ran the place.

And then you get countless quacks that somehow got into the field and do untold amounts of harm because hospitals will sweep it under the rug to protect their reputation. Just because they can get past all the culling doesn't always mean they're good for the job and there were several people I knew in my class that would've been great if they were given a bit more opportunity to blossom under a less aggressive program.

  • Uh huh

  • Been getting random trans hate videos/shorts every so often, gets a lot worse when I open a fresh container off my cultivated feeds. Inevitably also see Mr. Beast videos and part of my soul gets absorbed by his soulless smile.

  • I remember liking OKcupid solely for the million questions because once you answer enough of them, you can just quick peek at your absolute deal breakers and be like "oh god you're a chud, next." Unfortunately I also am criminally terrible at picking up flirting and subtlety so when a girl started talking about a local kink event, I just was like "oh that sounds neat, have fun." Had a girl once just outright say "I'm flirting with you" and I still didn't know what to do. I've since made my peace with never touching a dating app again because they're just awful.

  • Clicked on this dude's Starfield video some time back not knowing anything about him and peace'd out like 2 minutes. One of the first things he complained about was how the devs had an agenda and that a random gay man was immortal to stop people like him from killing him immediately. The NPC simply mentioned he had a husband.

  • Pretty sure it's at least a part of why the Christian Zionists are so gung-ho for the zionist entity, if they can get everything to line up as according to weird prophecy, they'll see the apocalypse arrive sooner.

  • Wasn't she all in with that lady that was quoted in that BBC article that had a fucking manifesto to kill trans people and a history of doing SA to other women?

  • Jesus Christ, it doesn't seem like based on the article pillow linked, that they even preached anti-trans stuff and didn't push for it while in office. There doesn't seem to be a particularly good reason why they were outed beyond the continued push to destroy all trans and gender non-conforming people. It's not like we're looking at Kenneth Copeland getting outed for being caught in a porta-potty with 3 dudes.

  • If we just focus test our words enough to be as meaningless as possible, we'll totally have the best slogans around. Not like we're supposed to do anything but make up catchy slogans, right guys?

  • I remember back in my college public speaking class there was a woman that did a presentation on autism because her two children were on the spectrum. I remember nothing about her presentation other than her weird side note that using the r-slur is totally fine because she uses it and calls her kids her "little r-slurs." Always found it kinda weird even when I was a lot younger.

  • Just do the Vault 11 idea but for real. Lock them all in a bunker and tell them to vote for a single sacrifice and the rest get to continue to live until they kill each other and we then have a special surprise video telling them that we're so proud of them for being true Americans that refused to sacrifice anyone as the last survivors realize they've been had.

  • Could they really pull their forces at this point? Like if you do pull them to head to Gaza you could very well present an opportunity that Hezbollah could just rush them and force much worse damage than if they kept them deployed.

  • "Experts say..." I think you could just drop that part and state outright that we're watching crimes against humanity and genocide being committed in the open. This is obviously them wanting to funnel as much weaponry as possible to assist a genocide because the US is a genocidal failed state that is desperate to prop up power and its last bastion in the Middle East.

  • Oh hey that sounds like seeseepee china and nothing like the US.

  • Maybe it's because I work in healthcare, but the idea of just saying "no, you can't have this life saving device" makes no sense. Dude was ready to hand over everything he had on him to just get the device. There was an incident at work where we noticed a man had fallen on the sidewalk just outside our unit, two of the nurses went to check on him while I stayed on the unit. They helped him get up and got him over to a bench. He did not want any help or an ambulance to be called but eventually we'd hear from the supervisor "technically it puts us at risk of liability because he's not our patient." Nobody was punished for it because nobody would really go and say "you see someone in distress, you do nothing." They went and helped and I made sure that should something have happened on the unit, I was ready to immediately respond.

I would imagine that Good Samaritan laws would shield the nurses that went outside because they went and assisted to the best of their ability, but I have no idea how the organization would be held liable potentially.

  • Every CPR class will teach you that if it's available to grab a defibrillator and let it do its thing while you do CPR and if it wants to do a shock, that you let it. No harm in actually doing the shocks, like I was taught, you're not going to make their day any worse by breaking ribs or shocking them. For a bystander that didn't know this person's medical history, they made the right decision to seek out a defibrillator. Would it have saved them, probably not. Does that change the fact that the Museum's actions were terrible? No.

Acting like untrained civilians are working with a crash cart and not the briefcase is also silly. In any hospital they'll start up with the automatic mode of any defibrillator before there's a doctor present to give orders. In the end, the people involved did what they could and acting like they're irresponsible and ignorant goes against what could potentially save lives in the larger picture. No doubt this guy was fucked, most people are when their heart stops working properly.

  • Nooooo you're not considering the contexterino, he made a tweet clarifyingino that he expanded on his opinions and that makes it okay to call for a genociderinoooohoooooooohooooooooo!!!
